Radiotherapy UK had a little jig about this week to celebrate their very first event partner for this year’s #Miles4Radiotherapy.


The lovely team at AXREM will be supporting this summer’s virtual challenge for the radiotherapy community in support of our #CatchUpWithCancer campaign.

Sally Edgington, Chief Executive Officer of AXREM, said: “The AXREM Radiotherapy Special Focus group have been working with Radiotherapy UK for some time now, and many of our members also individually the support the charity, so I am pleased to be able to support this event and help publicise the charities messaging and charity fundraising, we wish Radiotherapy every success with the event and am pleased to be a small part of this fabulous cause.”

This year’s #Miles4Radiotherapy challenge starts on July 1, and welcomes anyone impacted by cancer to create a team or individual challenge and clock up the miles for sponsorship. Participants can choose how they move, walking, running, scooting, wheeling, sailing, horse-riding, and paddle-boarding are just some of the choices from previous years. Participants will also we invited to sign up for an in-person race with 3mile and 10mile courses in Yorkshire.

Every step taken and pound raised supports the UK’s longest and loudest campaign for cancer patients facing deadly treatment delays. #CatchUpWithCancer was co-founded by Radiotherapy UK in 2020 and has never stopped speaking out since.


AXREM is the UK trade association representing the interests of suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment including patient monitoring in the UK. AXREM members supply the majority of diagnostic medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment installed in UK hospitals.
