AXREM WELCOMES NEW TEAM MEMBER
04 May 2023

Following the continued growth of AXREM over the last 4 years, the association is pleased to welcome Melanie Johnson as AXREM Co-ordinator, who will be working for the association on a full time basis, supporting meetings, members, and the AXREM Member Accreditation (AMA) scheme.
In recent years AXREM’s membership has grown by over 140%, and the work of the association has expanded and become more proactive. The profile of AXREM has also increased which has seen an upturn in working projects and representation in external forums. For all the above reasons the new AXREM Co-ordinator role has been created to ensure the high standards our members have come to expect.
Melanie Johnson began her career within the healthcare sector and has since worked on several successful government and lottery funded projects. During this time, she has been instrumental in the engagement of organisations as well as the local communities, in the prevention and improvement of home safety and intergenerational practices. Most recently, Melanie has been working within the education sector.
Upon joining AXREM Melanie Johnson said “It is a pleasure to be joining AXREM as they continue to grow and support the sector. I am really looking forward to the challenges ahead and meeting our members, whilst contributing my skills and experiences to the organisation”.
AXREM Chief Executive Officer, Sally Edgington said “I was fortunate enough to work with Melanie earlier in my career and am pleased to welcome Mel to AXREM. Mel’s role will be vital for AXREM’s continued growth and ensure we continue to offer our members the very best service and support. This role will ensure meetings and events are well organised and that the AXREM Member Accreditation Scheme (AMA) can grow and gain a greater profile. I am excited about the future of AXREM and working with Melanie once again and am sure members and stakeholders will join me in offering Mel a warm welcome”.
