AXREM Chair Ila Dobson comes to end of term

Ila Dobson, Director Strategic Accounts, NHS Supply Chain, Procurement, Government Relations at GE Healthcare will be stepping down as Chair of AXREM after completing a full term. Ila Dobson has led the organisation through a time of change and development and has seen unprecedented membership growth.
Ila’s career spans many years in GE Healthcare with a number Global, European and UK leadership roles across Business Operations, Commercial Sales and Service driving key initiatives such as Integration, Innovation in AI, Procurement, Optimisation Customer Processes and Workforce as a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Some of the AXREM highlights under Ila Dobson’s leadership include:
- Aligning with other Industry Groups and key Government Organisations
- Publishing the association’s first manifesto at UKIO 2022
- Launching the AXREM Member Accreditation Scheme in April
- The creation of an AI special focus group in November 2020
- The creation of a Sustainability special focus group
- Launching an AXREM APP in December 2021
Ila Dobson said of her time as Chair of AXREM “It has been a great honour and pleasure to work collaboratively with other Industry partners, government organisations, healthcare providers and the NHS to create innovative solutions for the most effective healthcare outcomes for patients. AXREM with the tremendous expertise of its membership in diagnostic imaging, therapies, care and services areas has become a highly credible and reliable voice within government and healthcare organisations which is critical to the success of our healthcare system. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Chair and look forward to continue working closely with Sally Edgington who is a great Director and ambassador for AXREM, Jeevan Gunaratnam the new Chair and our dedicated membership as Vice Chair. My deepest thanks to all our membership for their support and help during my term as Chair”

Ila Dobson will now complete a one year term as Vice Chair supporting Jeevan Gunaratnam who will become Chairman of AXREM in the new year.
