AXREM Appoints Matthew Rickwood as New Convenor of Patient Monitoring Special Focus Group

AXREM is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Rickwood from Fukuda Denshi as the new Convenor of its Patient Monitoring Special Focus Group.
Matthew Rickwood is a commercially focused medical device professional with over 25 years experience in the UK healthcare sector, specialising in patient monitoring, cardiac diagnostics, digital integration, and NHS acute care environments. He has a strong track record in developing strategic partnerships, supporting complex clinical technology deployments, and working closely with NHS stakeholders across procurement, clinical engineering, digital health, and frontline clinical teams. With expertise spanning capital equipment sales, tender responses, service delivery, market development, and product strategy, Matthew is committed to delivering high-quality patient monitoring solutions that improve operational efficiency, support patient safety, and create long-term value for healthcare providers.
The AXREM Patient Monitoring Special Focus Group plays a key role in bringing together AXREM member companies that design, manufacture and supply patient monitoring technologies used across hospital, community and home‑based care settings. The group provides a collaborative forum for industry engagement on clinical, technical, regulatory and procurement issues affecting patient monitoring in the UK.
Matthew Rickwood brings strong engagement and experience from his active involvement in the Patient Monitoring SFG and wider AXREM activities. He will work closely with SFG members to support the group’s objectives, encourage member participation, and help ensure the group continues to provide a clear and informed industry voice on any patient monitoring issues.
