New AXREM Marketing SFG Convenor Announced

AXREM is the UK trade association representing the interests of suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment including patient monitoring in the UK. Our group is comprised of most of the industry supply companies, AXREM members supply the majority of diagnostic medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment installed in UK hospitals.
AXREM has an established Marketing Special Focus Group open to all our members. We are pleased to announce that a new Convenor has been appointed, Sarah Cowan, Marketing Communications Manager at Siemens Healthineers.
Sarah has worked for Siemens Healthcare for 17 years, contributing to developing and delivering integrated marketing communication campaigns. In her time at Siemens Healthcare, Sarah’s role has developed from managing all events to that of business partner for the medical imaging business unit, delivering a mix of marketing communications activities and government affairs initiatives.
Sarah said upon being appointed Marketing SFG Convenor: “When the chance to volunteer for the role of Marketing SFG Convenor became available, I saw this as an opportunity to be more actively involved in the great work AXREM is doing. I’ve been part of the marketing group since its formation and am looking forward to representing the views of the group”.
The group meet 4-5 time per year and discuss things like AXREM marketing strategies and how the association is promoted, industry events and exhibitions, industry publications, communications, social media, AXREM meetings/ events and more.
The group also discuss topical matters in each meeting such as return on investment, effective ways to communicate with the NHS and other relevant departments, digital marketing and much more.
On the appointment Sally Edgington, AXREM Chief Executive Officer said “I am looking forward to working with Sarah to see how we can further develop this group, and ensure we add value to our marketing colleagues. This group has grown and has become an important part of AXREM. I am looking forward to welcoming members to our next in person meeting in September, when we will have a full and interesting agenda with some fabulous guest speakers”.
