Share

Following the retirement of Alan Birks at the end of March, AXREM have appointed a new Director to manage the day to day running and direction of the trade association. Sally Edgington started with AXREM at the beginning of March allowing a handover period with Alan.

Sally has worked in membership for the last 4 years as Membership Engagement Manager with the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA). During her time with the BHTA Sally was instrumental in improving engagement with members, working with members to produce papers, leaflets and campaigns and even organised the associations flagship awards dinner event, managing to double attendance levels and making it the most successful event in the association’s history.

When appointed to the role Sally said “I am really excited about the challenge ahead and feel my knowledge of a membership organisation coupled with my general knowledge and contacts in the health sector will give me a good basis to build upon”. Sally added “Alan Birks has left big shoes to fill but I am hoping that my knowledge, commitment and passion will help excel AXREM to new heights and evolve further”.

During her first month Sally has already attended many meetings including with the MHRA, NICE, ABHI, BIVDA, NHS SCCL, COCIR in Brussels and many more, with a busy diary ahead for the coming months.
