AXREM Statement on Covid-19 Friday, March 27, 2020

AXREM member companies and staff are playing an important role in the COVID-19 pandemic. We are supporting the NHS in unprecedented times and following the latest government advice. We are providing our members with regular updates about this advice and making appropriate representations to government at every level, when necessary.

AXREM members want to help support the NHS in any way possible in response to COVID-19. We continue to ask for clarity on all government advice, and for continuing recognition that our members supplying the NHS must be designated as ‘key workers’.

Many of the products and services that we provide are critical to medical care and to the diagnosis of COVID-19.  Continuity of care is vital and all those working on the commissioning installation, maintenance, education of clinical teams and servicing of crucial equipment need to be able to work safely. NHS Trusts, therefore, need to ensure that the appropriate PPE equipment is made available to them, in the same way that NHS staff using this equipment are protected.
