AXREM are pleased to announce that the association is now represented on the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) Council as an invited co-opted member. This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen AXREM’s relationship and working with BMUS following 3 years of working on collaborative projects and building collective workstreams.
AXREM’s Director Sally Edgington will be the representative and when she is unable to attend meetings Tim Palarm, AXREM Ultrasound Vice Convenor (Canon Medical Systems) will attend in Sally’s place.
President of BMUS Pamela Parker said “We are delighted to welcome Sally Edgington to join the council of the British Medical Ultrasound Society as an invited co-opted member. The BMUS Council of Management (known as BMUS Council) is the democratic decision making body of BMUS, whose role is to oversee the activities of the Society and support BMUS in meeting its charitable aims and objectives. Elected members of Council are entitled to vote on matters of importance and are responsible for proper management of the Society’s assets. The council is responsible for actively promoting BMUS as the leading multi-disciplinary national body concerned with the practice and science of medical ultrasound. To ensure this professional standing is maintained, BMUS council biannually produces mid- to long-term strategies of the Society in order to promote the Society’s aims and ensure the financially stability of the Society for the benefit of future members. Sally’s role as the manufacturers’ representative will ensure that professional, clinical and commercial concerns are equally represented within the society in all future endeavors”.
Sally Edgington, AXREM Director said “Over the last 3 years the AXREM Ultrasound SFG have worked proactively to set best practice and standards in the industry, many of the projects they have worked on has involved collaboration with BMUS and other organisations, strengthening these working relationships and industries position and voice. This is a great opportunity for which I am proud to represent AXREM in this forum, and I look forward to positively and proactively contributing”.
