The Society of Radiographers write to Matt Hancock in support of the AXREM position on vaccinations for industry staff

Richard Evans, Chief Executive Officer of The Society of Radiographers (SoR) has today written to The Secretary of State for Health & Social Care, Matt Hancock MP, and other government officials in England and the devolved nations, in support of the AXREM position on vaccinations for industry staff working in hospitals with NHS staff.

In his letter he urges the government to agree to such employees being offered vaccinations, and offers SoR’s support of this.

Sally Edgington. AXREM Director said “industry organisations coming together and supporting one another for the wellbeing of industry colleagues is fantastic”.

Whilst AXREM have made progress and are now in receipt of a letter from Nadhim Zahawi MP (Vaccine Minster), this does not go far enough in explicitly stating that industry staff working in hospitals qualify for the vaccine, we have used this letter with an AXREM headed letter for members to issue to their colleagues that meet the criteria set out by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation to request the vaccine from their GP’s.
