New Vice Convenor of AXREM Imaging IT SFG Announced

AXREM has a Specialist Focus Group (SFG) that supports and represents members of the healthcare IT supplier industry who provide most of the diagnostic medical imaging IT installed in UK hospitals. Our member companies and their employees work side by side with Consultant Radiologists, Radiographers and Clinicians to enable them to deliver advanced healthcare to patients. AXREM endeavours to promote best practice based on the knowledge and experience of the industry providers.

Saduf Ali-Drakesmith has been appointed to the role of Imaging IT Vice Convenor with immediate effect and will work alongside the current convenor Bob Childe from Soliton IT.

Saduf Ali-Drakesmith is a Director at Hyland, she has overall responsibility for providing strategy development and functionality to Hyland’s Healthcare & Enterprise Imaging divisions.

Saduf has a great balance and mix, of both, clinical and technical skills. With a background spanning over 22 years in the Radiology/ Imaging field, including diagnostic reporting. She brings a wealth of clinical expertise, as well as deep level technical knowledge in all things Healthcare and Imaging related including VNA/XDS/PACS & RIS’s. She has also worked on UK wide government initiatives on Digital Transformation Solutions.

Saduf still practises as a clinician and that gives her a unique insight into customer needs and requirements. She is extremely passionate about Healthcare and that drives her to continually seek out ways to improve patient care at the highest level and deliver better outcomes.

Upon being appointed Saduf Ali-Drakesmith said “I believe in the good that Axrem does, along with the profound dedication members have towards advancing and transforming the landscape of the healthcare imaging industry. I’m honoured and excited for the opportunity to work more closely with Sally, Bob and the Imaging IT SFG in this role”.
