New AXREM Vice Chairman Appointed

AXREM are pleased to announce the appointment of Charlie McCaffrey as new AXREM Vice Chairman. Charlie will support Ila Dobson in her role as AXREM Chair and will step up as AXREM Chairman next April when Ila completes her term.
On being appointed Charlie said “I am delighted to have been nominated and voted in by my industry peers on the AXREM Executive Committee. I previously served as Chair of AXREM in 2013 and 2014 during which time we stepped up our external visibility and influence as an organisation and I am delighted that subsequent Chairs, very ably supported by the Secretariat have continued to build on this and that we are now the ‘go to’ Trade Association for all matters relating to diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment in the UK. The Covid pandemic and the recovery of diagnostic services as well as access to Diagnostics and Precision Diagnosis are themes and challenges I expect will dominate my tenure as Vice Chair and Chair and I look forward to working with our current Chair (Ila Dobson), AXREM Director – secretariat (Sally Edgington), the AXREM Executive Committee, the members of our Special Focus Groups and the many stakeholders across the healthcare landscape we interact with”.
