Future Leaders Council – 2025 Intake

Our Future Leaders Council is approaching its first-year anniversary and to coincide with this celebration, we are looking for new members to join the council.
The future leaders council was established in February 2024 to strengthen the current AXREM strategic governance structure by complementing our long-established Executive Committee. The participants in these roles are accomplished senior leaders who share their valuable expertise to drive the AXREM strategy and ensure value to members. To complement this wealth of experience, we wanted to invite some fresh ideas and diversity of thought from the perspective of a new generation of rising stars and future leaders.
The council meet bi-monthly, both virtually via Teams and in-person at AXREM offices in London. We are keen to ensure the council are relatively unconstrained by “traditional” association structures, so there will be plenty of autonomy to decide the roles within it and review the terms of reference etc. whilst being fully supported by the AXREM team. The council will also liaise with the main AXREM Executive Committee for input and communication in both directions.
- AXREM will get the benefit of fresh input to our strategic direction from a cohort with which we otherwise may not already engage. This will drive improvements in what we do and how it is communicated, plus spawn new initiatives to meet the needs of the next generations within industry.
- Member companies can offer their talented employees a unique development opportunity, with an influence that will improve the delivery of our value and services to members.
- The future leader representatives will themselves have personal development experience, defining and running a council, experiencing the operation of an industry association, building an extended network with opportunities to represent AXREM at external forums.
The council currently consists of 10 professionals, to represent a diverse cross-section of our membership and areas of interest. We are now looking to increase the council by a further 10 professionals and envisage the group to be made up of 20 leaders of the future, so this could be someone in their early career or a first-time manager within industry, a graduate/apprentice, someone on the progression ladder within their company.
We are aiming for diversity of thought and encourage applications which will help us to make good use of differences in the skills, industry experience, background, race, gender, and other qualities of the future leaders within our community.
