Britton Raises Hundreds Running Great North Half Marathon for AXREM Charity

AXREM has this year launched a new initiative having a charity of the year. The AXREM nominated charity for 2024 is Alzheimer’s Research UK. As the UK’s leading dementia research charity, Alzheimer’s Research UK exists for a cure. The charity is working to revolutionise the way dementia is treated, diagnosed, and prevented. But they will not stop there. With your support, Alzheimer’s Research UK will keep going until every person is free from the heartbreak of dementia.

David Britton the AXREM Patient Monitoring Special Focus Group Convenor and Patient Monitoring and Life Support Marketing Manager UKI at Mindray, embraced this new initiative and immediately signed up to run the Great North Run Half Marathon for our charity of the year.

We are pleased to advise that on a wet day in Newcastle, David Britton supported by his family ran the Great North Run being the world’s biggest and best half marathon, with 60,000 runners taking on the 13.1-mile route from Newcastle to South Shields. David complete the run in 2 hours 37 minutes and the AXREM community are all very proud of his achievement.

David also embraced the fundraising and to date has raised over £700, which is an incredible achievement.

David Britton said: “I was delighted to run  on behalf of Alzheimer’s Research UK this year and sincerely thank everybody ,who donated, to support finding a cure for this condition, that effects so many families

AXREM has done so much to highlight our industry’s concerns and again it gave me great pleasure to support our nominated charity.

Love the Great North Run and love the crowds that keep us all going – it is a great day ! Thank you to the Blue Bell Inn that gave me a free pint for running – made my day !”.
