AXREM Welcome New Future Leaders Council Members
20 January 2025
Our Future Leaders Council is approaching its first-year anniversary and to coincide with this celebration, we opened applications to AXREM member companies in the search for 10 new members to complete our council.
The AXREM Future Leader Council (AFLC) was established in February 2024 and serves as the voice of earlier career professionals within AXREM member companies and aims to shape the future of our industry as well as to strengthen the current AXREM strategic governance structure by complementing our long-established Executive Committee. The participants in these roles are accomplished senior leaders who share their valuable expertise to drive the AXREM strategy and ensure value to members. To complement this wealth of experience, we wanted to invite some fresh ideas and diversity of thought from the perspective of a new generation of rising stars and future leaders.
Following a successful recruitment process, the council now consists of up to 20 professionals, to represent a diverse cross-section of our membership and areas of interest.
Over the last 5 years AXREM has gone through a complete transformation, and this is another step in the association’s development, to engage with more members at an earlier stage, ensuring they have a voice and that they see the value of the work done by AXREM.
The Initiative is being led by AXREM Membership Engagement Manger, Melanie Johnson who said “I am truly privileged to continue leading on such a great initiative and am proud of what the members have already achieved throughout 2024. This has led to us being able to grow and develop the council to give more members the opportunity to be involved. This year we are very excited to be introducing a training programme as part of the council, to give back to the members who kindly support and shape the development of AXREM, I give thanks to Skilled Personnel on supporting this initiative by supporting the training programme. I am looking forward to continuing working with our established FLC members but also welcoming the new members. I am excited to see what we can achieve throughout 2025”.
Sally Edgington, AXREM Chief Executive Officer said “This has been a successful initiative led fantastically by Mel. The group have done loads of meaningful work and projects including producing a State of the Nation Report which accompanied the AXREM new Strategic Priorities, which we published in September, helping with the creation of a new Digital Pathology Special Focus Group and they are currently scoping our patient pathways for certain disease/ illness areas to see how our members can create efficiencies. I look forward to welcoming and engaging with the new council members”.
