AXREM Announces Strategic Partnership with the Equity Charter to Champion Fairness in Digital Health

AXREM, the UK trade association representing suppliers of diagnostic imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT and care equipment, is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with the Equity Charter, a pioneering initiative advocating for fairness and inclusion in digital health.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in AXREM’s commitment to driving equity, innovation, and sustainability across the MedTech sector. By aligning with the Equity Charter’s mission to ensure digital health platforms and services meet the needs of all communities, especially those underserved, AXREM reinforces its dedication to inclusive transformation.

 

“Equity isn’t a side note, it’s the foundation of meaningful innovation,” said Sally Edgington, CEO of AXREM. “Partnering with the Equity Charter allows us to amplify underrepresented voices, challenge systemic barriers, and co-create a digital health future that works for everyone.”

 

Founded by NHS leaders Ayesha Rahim, Victoria Betton, and Hassan Chaudhury, the Equity Charter brings together stakeholders across healthcare to stand up to discrimination and embed equity into the design and delivery of digital health solutions.

 

Equity Charter Co-Founder, Dr Ayesha Rahim said of the partnership “We are delighted to be working in partnership with AXREM. Together, AXREM and the Equity Charter will:

  • Advocate for inclusive procurement and design standards in diagnostic imaging and other areas AXREM represents
  • Support member organisations in adopting equity-focused practices
  • To collaborate on initiatives to spotlight best practice
  • Champion policies that promote fairness in access to healthcare technologies

This partnership builds on AXREM’s ongoing work in sustainability, workforce wellbeing, and digital transformation ensuring that equity is not just a principle, but a measurable Outcome.
