AXREM Announces New Director of Government Affairs Role & Appointment

Following substantial growth over the last 4 years, increased activities and profile of AXREM and a more strategic approach to our work, we are pleased to announce that AXREM have appointed a Director of Government Affairs. The role reflects the transformation that the association has gone through in recent years, where we are having more high level communications with government but want to further increase our presence and the profile that we have with the UK government, ensuring we are part of relevant discussions.

AXREM are pleased to announce that Ila Dobson, former AXREM Vice Chair and Chair has been appointed to the role. Ila’s career spans many years in the industry having previously held a number of Global, European and UK leadership roles across Business Operations, Commercial Sales and Service driving key initiatives such as Integration, Innovation in AI, Procurement, Optimisation Customer Processes and Workforce. Ila has been involved with AXREM for more than 25 years so has a good working relationship with our members and the industry as a whole.

Ila Dobson will work with AXREM to give the association more visibility in government and across parties, generate more political engagement, organising meetings with parliamentarians and working with MP’s to table questions in Westminster debates. Ila will also engage with key stakeholders to scope and shape targeted issues and initiatives for our Industry.

Ila’s extensive advocacy will make a significant contribution to this important work”.

Ila Dobson, AXREM Director of Government Affairs said upon her role being announced “This is a very exciting opportunity to represent AXREM and work collaboratively with UK Government, the NHS and Healthcare Organisations to understand our Patient’s needs, analyse the gaps and develop strategies to bring innovative, effective solutions from our Industry to the table for the best outcomes. I am really looking forward to continuing the great work with the AXREM team, all its Members and Sally Edgington who since her appointment has been a superb leader and driving force behind so many of AXREMs engagements and achievements in our Healthcare market”.
