AXREM Announces new Convenor and Vice Convenor of the AXREM Imaging IT Special Focus Group

AXREM is delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Rogers as Convenor and Jack Willson-Patel as Vice Convenor of the AXREM Imaging IT Special Focus Group (SFG), supporting the group’s convenor and working alongside members from across the AXREM

The Imaging IT Special Focus Group plays a vital role in shaping AXREM’s contributions to policy, standards, and best practice in imaging informatics. It brings together experts from across member organisations to address key challenges and opportunities in digital imaging, including:

  • PACS and RIS integration: advancing interoperability and workflow efficiency
  • AI and structured reporting: supporting clinical decision-making and data quality
  • Policy and standards: contributing to national frameworks and best practice
  • Collaboration: fostering dialogue between NHS, industry, and independent providers

The group is a cornerstone of AXREM’s broader commitment to digital transformation in healthcare, ensuring imaging IT solutions are safe, effective, and aligned with clinical needs.

Meet the new Convenor

Tony Rogers is a healthcare technology leader with nearly 40 years’ experience spanning clinical radiography, commercial leadership, and digital transformation. Tony began his career as a Radiographer in the NHS before moving into senior roles within the medical imaging and informatics industry and is currently UK Sales Manager – Enterprise Imaging at Optum.

He has led sales, strategic planning, marketing, and market development for major global imaging companies, overseeing portfolios across Digital Imaging, Healthcare IT, and Life Sciences. Tony is skilled in delivering complex, multi-faceted projects and has built strong working relationships with NHS organisations, private providers, and government agencies to drive operational efficiency and improve patient care.

Meet the new Vice Convenor

Jack Willson-Patel brings extensive experience across UK and European healthcare systems, working with NHS organisations, private providers, medical device manufacturers and digital health partners. Jacks background spans strategic growth, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of complex initiatives within regulated environments. Jack is accustomed to chairing cross-functional meetings, synthesising key issues into clear reports, and ensuring alignment between operational activity and strategic objectives.

Through leading commercial and partnership initiatives, Jack has supported member engagement, developed growth strategies, and contributed to policy-informed discussions across healthcare sectors. Jack understands the importance of structured governance, leadership continuity, and accountable reporting.

Jack would provide dependable support to the Convenor, ensuring effective meeting oversight, member representation, and implementation of plans relating to consultation, retention, and recruitment, while maintaining clear communication with the Executive Committee and CEO.
