AXREM Announced as Finalists in Three Categories at the 2026 Memcom Excellence Awards
15 July 2026
AXREM is proud to celebrate a landmark moment as the association has been announced as finalists in three categories at the 2026 Memcom Excellence Awards: Best Podcast, Best Celebration Event and Best Membership Support. Revealed live at the Memcom Summer Party at the Barbican Centre, this year’s shortlist showcases the very best innovation, creativity and impact across the membership, association, charity and not‑for‑profit sectors. With a record number of entries and a rigorous two‑stage judging process, being shortlisted represents an exceptional achievement and a powerful endorsement of AXREM’s work and purpose.
AXREM CEO Sally Edgington and AXREM Membership Co‑ordinator Naomi Bedford attended the event to hear the news first‑hand, joining peers from across the sector as the shortlist was unveiled. Their presence marked a proud moment for the association, reflecting the dedication, collaboration and ambition that underpin AXREM’s growing influence within UK MedTech.
The recognition spans three distinct areas of AXREM’s work: the AXREM Insights podcast, the AXREM Women’s Network Launch Event and the AXREM Future Leaders Council. Each initiative represents a different facet of AXREM’s mission, to champion innovation, strengthen community and support the future of the sector and each has earned its place on the shortlist through meaningful impact and sector‑wide resonance.
The AXREM Women’s Network Launch Event stands out as a defining moment for the association. More than a celebration, it was an experience that brought together diverse voices in a historic venue, launched a transformative network, unveiled a major report on women’s health and ignited a movement that will shape the future of MedTech for years to come. It delivered everything a celebration event should: inspiration, connection, purpose and lasting impact. It connected people, policy and purpose in a way that turned celebration into action, creating both immediate momentum and enduring change. For AXREM, for women in the sector and for the future of equitable healthcare innovation, it was a milestone of genuine significance.
The AXREM Future Leaders Council has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to member support. In a period of challenge and change, AXREM chose to invest in people and the results have been transformative. The Council has empowered emerging leaders, strengthened member engagement, enhanced AXREM’s governance and ensured early‑career professionals can see a clear, supported future within the association. It is inclusive, innovative, impactful and future‑focused, representing the very best of what member support can achieve. More than an initiative, it has become a movement reshaping the future of the UK MedTech sector and creating a legacy that will benefit members, the industry and the healthcare system for years to come.
AXREM Insights, the association’s podcast, has been shortlisted for its authenticity, relevance and impact. Built not by a large media team but by a small, dedicated group who believe in the power of conversation to drive change, AXREM Insights has quickly become a trusted voice in UK healthcare technology. In under three years, it has informed, connected and inspired listeners across the sector, amplifying diverse voices and bringing clarity to some of the most complex challenges facing diagnostics, the NHS and MedTech today. It is more than a podcast; it is a platform that strengthens the sector and shapes the future of healthcare dialogue in the UK.
Speaking after the announcement, AXREM CEO Sally Edgington said
“Being recognised across three categories is a testament to the passion, creativity and commitment of AXREM’s members and team. Each shortlisted initiative reflects AXREM’s mission to champion excellence, inclusion and innovation across the UK MedTech landscape. I am incredible proud of the whole team and am looking forward to celebrating with the Memcom community at the awards in September”.
The winners of the 2026 Memcom Excellence Awards will be announced later this year, but for AXREM, today’s recognition already marks a moment of pride, progress and purpose.
