AXREM Announce Launch of new Future Leaders Council
08 January 2024
AXREM are excited to launch the AXREM Future Leaders Council. The AXREM Future Leader Council (AFLC) will serve as the voice of the early career professionals within AXREM member sectors, and aims to shape the future of our industry.
Our aim will be to strengthen the current AXREM strategic governance structure by complementing our long-established Executive Committee. The participants in these roles are accomplished senior leaders who share their valuable expertise to drive the AXREM strategy and ensure value to members. To complement this wealth of experience, we want to invite some fresh ideas and diversity of thought from the perspective of a new generation of rising stars and future leaders within AXREM member companies. This is a great opportunity to empower and develop members professionally and personally.
The council will consist of a group of 10 professionals, to represent a diverse cross-section of our membership and areas of interest. We envisage the group to be made up of the leaders of the future, so this could be someone in their early career or a first-time manager within industry, a graduate/apprentice, someone on the progression ladder within their company.
We are aiming for diversity of thought and encourage applications which will help us to make good use of differences in the skills, industry experience, background, race, gender, and other qualities of the future leaders within our community.
Over the last 4 years AXREM has gone through a complete transformation, and this is another step in the associations development, to engage at a much earlier stage with future leaders, ensure they have a voice and that they see the value of the work done by AXREM.
The Initiative is being led by AXREM Co-ordinator Melanie Johnson who said on the initiative being announced “I am truly excited to be leading on such a great initiative and am proud to be part of a thriving organisation, who is able to offer such a fantastic opportunity to our members. I am looking forward to working with our future leaders to bring fresh ideas and perspective, to help shape the future of AXREM and industry”.
Sally Edgington, AXREM Chief Executive Officer said “This is a great initiative and one that I feel very passionate about, ensuring AXREM engages with key colleagues in our member companies will be the key to AXREM’s long term stability. I think this group will have a different perspective on industry challenges and this will ensure we remain an agile organisation and respond appropriately to help shape the future of our sector”.
Applications are now open to colleagues within our members companies and should be completed by midday on Friday 26th January 2024. If you would like more information or want to apply please contact melanie.johnson@axrem.org.uk
