We are the UK trade association representing the suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT, Artificial Intelligence, software, care equipment and services including patient monitoring in the UK.
Our members are senior executive leaders from more than 90% of the Diagnostic Imaging and Therapeutic companies from our sector, who work directly with healthcare providers in the NHS and Independent sectors to deliver the best outcomes for patients. These include General X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Angiography, Cardiac Cath Labs, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, CT, PET CT, MRI and systems used for Precision Radiation Medicine such as Linear Accelerators, Artificial Intelligence, software and IT associated with diagnostics and therapeutics.
We also represent suppliers of IT systems that store, view and manipulate medical imaging, which enables reporting of images such as Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Vendor Neutral Archives (VNA), Advanced Post Processing Solutions, Radiotherapy Planning and Record & Verify Software, monitors/ displays and Artificial Intelligence applications.
Our members supply and service most diagnostic medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment installed in UK hospitals. In doing so, our member companies and their employees work side by side with Radiologists, Radiographers and Practitioners, Cardiologists, Interventionalists, Oncologists, Physicists, and other allied healthcare professionals to deliver excellence in patient care using our technologies. All members work to regulated standards whilst continuously developing and creating innovative new solutions.
AXREM consults with a wide range of stakeholders including clinicians, governments, procurement organisations, professional bodies, and NHS bodies. In collaboration with these organisations, members’ solutions create efficiencies in patient pathways, improve clinical outcomes and in turn deliver value based healthcare.
