What we do:
AIRS Medical is a South Korea-based AI medical imaging company, and SwiftMR is its flagship product: an FDA-cleared, vendor-neutral software platform that uses deep learning to enhance MRI scans. SwiftMR works by applying AI processing to MRI images immediately after they’re acquired — reducing noise and blur without altering the underlying scan itself. This gives imaging centers a choice: keep existing scan times and get clearer, sharper images, or cut scan times by up to 50% while maintaining diagnostic quality. Processed images typically reach a facility’s PACS system in under two minutes.
One of SwiftMR’s key strengths is its universal compatibility. It works across all major MRI vendors (GE, Siemens, Philips, Canon, Fujifilm, and others), all field strengths from 0.25T to 3.0T, and both open and closed scanner types — including machines over 15 years old. That means imaging centers can extract more value from equipment they already own, rather than investing in expensive new hardware. The clinical impact has been demonstrated in peer-reviewed studies showing average scan-time reductions of 32–41% across brain, knee, and lumbar spine imaging, without compromising diagnostic accuracy.
For patients, shorter scans mean less time in the machine — particularly valuable for those with claustrophobia or anxiety. For imaging centers, faster scans mean more patients seen per day, shorter appointment slots, and higher revenue without added staff or equipment. SwiftMR is currently deployed at more than 1,700 hospitals and imaging centers across over 40 countries, and it’s now also cleared to work alongside OEM deeplearning reconstruction tools from manufacturers like GE, adding further scan-time savings on top of existing AI pipelines.
How we do this:
SwiftMR, developed by AIRS Medical, is an AI-powered platform that enhances MRI studies through a straightforward on-site workflow. Implementation begins with installing a dedicated gateway PC that connects the MRI scanner to the facility’s PACS system. During setup, technicians verify network connectivity across the MRI, PC, and PACS, then configure protocols and adjust speed-related parameters to match the site’s equipment and needs.
Once installed, the actual scanning process remains unchanged — patients undergo standard MRI exams on any compatible scanner, regardless of vendor or field strength (0.25T to 3.0T). The key difference happens after acquisition: SwiftMR’s deep learning algorithms process the raw images, reducing noise and blur without altering the original scan data. This post-processing step is what enables either faster scan times or improved image clarity, depending on the facility’s priorities. Processed images are then delivered to the PACS system quickly, typically within two minutes, minimizing disruption to radiologists’ reading workflows. The full rollout is designed to be fast: installation and protocol configuration happen on day one, directly on the MR console, followed by user training and monitoring on day two to confirm the system runs smoothly with real patients.
Importantly, all patient data stays within the facility’s own network throughout this process — nothing is transmitted externally — which supports compliance with hospital IT and data protection requirements. For organizations considering adoption, AIRS Medical offers a one-month free trial, allowing sites to evaluate real-world performance on their own scanners and protocols before making a purchasing decision, with the entire onboarding process managed directly by AIRS Medical’s implementation team.
