IPEM Announces New Chief Executive – Gill Collinson

Gill Collinson IPEM chief Executive march 2025

Earlier in January we were delighted to hear from IPEM that they have appointed a new Chief Executive Gill Collinson.

Gill joins IPEM from STEM Learning, where she is Director of Strategy and Partnerships. She will take up her new post in March 2025.

Upon her appointment, Gill said:

“I am delighted to be joining IPEM at this exciting time for the organisation and the professions it represents.

With the Government developing new plans for the NHS, as well as taking action in key areas for medical physics, and clinical engineering such as AI, there has never been a better time to be a member of IPEM. I’m really excited to work with our members, volunteers and expert and dedicated staff to ensure that IPEM is the leading voice in improving health through physics and engineering, enabling a diverse and inclusive professional community to deliver innovative practice development for the public good.”

IPEM President, Dr Anna Barnes, commented:

“I am delighted to welcome Gill to IPEM. She is passionate about science and its benefit for society, which is at the core of what IPEM does as a charity and professional body.

She will be a great asset to IPEM, building on our strategy for developing the professional, building a community and providing leadership within and for medical physics and clinical engineering. I look forward to working with her to build on the excellent work already being done and taking IPEM to the next level.”

We at AXREM wish Gill all the best in her new role.
