AXREM Director shortlisted for Outstanding Contribution Award at the Trade Association Best Practice Awards 2022

AXREM Director Sally Edgington has been shortlisted for a Trade Association Best Practice Award having been nominated by AXREM members. These are the UK’s leading awards for trade associations recognising, rewarding, and promoting best practice and innovation across the sector.

These industry-recognised awards are supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) which is a longstanding member of the awards independent final judging panel.

The awards take place on Thursday 17th February 2022 at Drapers Hall in central London. When there is an expected audience of over 200 leading figures from the UK trade association world.

Sally Edgington joined AXREM as Director in March 2019 having previously worked for the British Healthcare Trades Association, so had a good understanding of the health sector and what a trade association can deliver for its members. Sally quickly got to grips with the sector she was representing, sector issues and how the association could improve its offering.

During her time with AXREM Sally has assisted in developing marketing and social media activities, setting up the Imaging & Oncology Forum which she now chairs, raising standards for the associations governance procedures, increased public affairs work, launching an AXREM App, launching a YouTube Channel, publishing manifestos for Radiotherapy & AI and this has all led to the increase profile of AXREM and our sector.

On hearing the news, Sally Edgington said “I am incredibly proud to lead the work of AXREM and it really is a team effort with the fabulous members we engage with, and who all work incredibly hard to ensure we set best practice and raise standards within our industry. I didn’t know I had been nominated so this has come as a huge but fantastic shock, and to be shortlisted is a real honour, and I shall look forward to attending the awards ceremony and celebrating the good work done by trade associations”.

Ila Dobson, Chair & Charlie McCaffrey, AXREM Vice Chair said, “We are delighted that our AXREM Director, Sally Edgington has been nominated and shortlisted for the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ Award at the Trade Association – Best Practice Awards 2022. These prestigious awards are hosted by the Trade Association Forum and recognise excellence and best practice in Trade Associations.
